Empathy

The ability to understand what another person is experiencing — intellectually and emotionally — and to let that understanding shape how one acts. Empathy connects the sovereign individual to the world of others. It is the capacity to genuinely comprehend a perspective different from one's own.
Without It
The person is intellectually sovereign but socially blind — wins arguments and loses relationships, builds institutions that work on paper but fail in practice.
